Popular bridal website Guides for Brides has just published it's extensive report into the true cost of getting married in the UK in 2018. The report dispels the myths carried by some media that the average cost is over £32,000 - putting some couples off the idea of getting hitched.
You can read the report here and Being Unique Ceremonies are also listed on Guides for Brides. If you are thinking of getting married and would like to discuss a bespoke, personal and unique ceremony, get in touch today. 2019 dates still available (at time of writing).

![]() It's always great to be given the opportunity to fly the flag for Celebrants, so I jumped at the chance when I was invited to take part in an interview with BBC Radio Newcastle's mid morning presenter Anna Foster. Anna was putting together an item for her show on Pop Up Weddings, a concept I am delighted to be involved with in the North East. Faye Darcy, Creative Director of FD Pop Up Weddings has developed an all-inclusive wedding - to take the stress out of your big day. A Pop-Up Package includes the Venue, Venue Styling, Celebrant, Photographer, Florals, Wedding Cake, Champagne Toast and Canapés. You can here the interview here. FD Pop Up Wedding's next event is 25th August 2016 at The Pitcher & Piano on Newcastle's iconic Quayside, why not join us and say I Do (or I Do, again). ![]() Thats usually the first question I'm asked... So what is an Independent Civil Celebrant? Well, I work with couples and families to design and deliver a personal, unique ceremony for any of your life events. Having a Diploma in Family & Funeral Celebrancy means I can lead a wedding, vow renewal, naming ceremony or funeral. Being independent means I am free to design and conduct any type of ceremony. This can include religious content or none. I am not a Humanist celebrant. A Humanist celebrant can not include any form of religion or reference to faith. I am also not a Registrar so you will need to register your marriage with the registry office. This is a very short process which involves just 41 words plus your names and needs to be witnessed. There is no legal requirement to exchange rings at the legal process so this can be left and included in your wedding ceremony which can then be held in any venue you choose - not just a licensed one. So if you want a truly unique celebration to mark a life event, get in touch with me today. |
